Etihad Energy Services Company also known as Etihad ESCO, made an announcement about the installation of solar panels over the rooftops of around 5,000 homes of United Arab Emirates’ nationals. Along with all the contractors in their team, completion of site surveys has been done and the mock-ups, outreach activities, and the procurement of materials are at present in progress.
The project will be seeing Etihad Energy Services Company installing over 295 thousand Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) lights, 65 thousand PV panels, and 50 thousand water savers at the Emirati Villas. For the generation of energy light and water retrofit are expected and the water savings at the time of completion.
Without the installation of other stuff, Solar PVs can save up to 31 Million kWh of energy alone. Apart from the savings of significant energy, the project which is expected to get complete by the end of November 2019, will results in the decline of Carbon dioxide emissions by more than 21 thousand tons every year.
The Chief Executive Officer, Etihad ESCO, Ali A Jassim, passed the following statement: “I am pleased the installation of the photovoltaic solar panels over the rooftops of the Emirati homes is progressing without any flaws and complications. All the contractors are on board and the very first shipment of the inverters has reached. We take it as a privilege for enhancing the position of Dubai as a foremost model for energy efficiency.”
