Dubai: The Department of Human Resource Emiratisation has declared holidays of Eid Al Fitr which start from June 3, Monday until the third of Shawwal – work will resume on the fourth of Shawwal. For the private sector, Eid Al Fitr holidays will start on Monday, June 3 (29th of Ramadan) to third of Shawwal, the Minister for Human Resources and Emiratisation announced on Sunday. Eid falls on first day of Shawwal. Eventually it depends on the moon sighting that will be either on June 4 or June 5.
In March, the UAE cabinet announced the same number of holidays will be granted to the public and private sector. Although, public sector employees enjoy an extra day off as their holidays start from June 2. But public & private sector employees will resume work on June 9.
