Texas McCombs MBA at Dallas/Fort Worth Program Moves to Uptown Dallas

The Austin’s McCombs School of Business at University of Texas has recently announced that it will move the Weekend MBA at Dallas/Fort Worth program from UT Southwestern to The Centrum in Uptown Dallas during the fall of 2019.

This existing program will comprise a 17,000 square-foot area on the front and center of first floor of the building complex that is situated at 3102 Oak Lawn. The architectural structure includes spaces for interactive sessions, studies and breakout rooms. In addition, there is a board room for 16 people, offices, and collaboration spaces which are guaranteed to deliver a worthwhile experience that is consistent with the Texas McCombs brand.

Mr. Dean Jay Hartzell states: “UT Southwestern has offered our program a great home since 2010. However, we are excited to relocate into a space that will enhance our competitive position in this important business market and facilitate a more consistent Texas McCombs experience for our DFW-based students.”

With a completely remodeled structure as of 2017, The Centrum development includes five on-site restaurants, a 6,000-square-foot fitness center, a rooftop deck, a tenant lounge, a ground level community courtyard, and underground parking!

Assistant Dean of MBA program, Mr. Joe Stephen said: “This move will give us a chance to further foster the strong relationships we have with our DFW-based alumni and the business community,” He further added: “We’re looking forward to increasing our outreach and recruitment efforts by leveraging this excellent space with the employer network and the power of more than 30,000 alumni in the Metroplex.”

Mr. Hartzell also said that, “In addition to the alumni outreach and MBA classes, an invitation to utilize the Centrum space is open to other UT programs, departments and colleges wanting to further educational and experiential learning opportunities.”

The Centrum’s location is very easily accessible from various freeways, enhancing ease of use for students, graduates, visitors as well as staff members. Uptown Dallas will also provide students with more opportunities for efficient communication and interaction with the surrounding business community.

Texas McCombs is soon set to join other firms that are already established in The Centrum, including the Capital Factory, SalesForce, Brit Systems, and the University of Texas System.
